Single, double, and triple-layer construction is available in the Classica door series. The triple-layer is made up of a 2″ thick doors comprised of a steel interior, polyurethane insulated core, and steel exterior.
Finish
Amarr doors are pre-painted, but you can use exterior latex paint for custom colors. Three-section tall designs, instead of four, help deliver an authentic carriage house look.
Insulation and R-Value
Polystyrene and Polyurethane insulation options are available on the CL2000 and CL3000 models. R-Value ranges from NA – 13.35.

Yes. Amarr manufactured steel doors are pre-painted with a factory-applied finish that is suitable to be repainted with a wide variety of 100% acrylic exterior grade latex paints.
Use a high-quality 100% acrylic exterior grade latex paint. Do not use oil based paint.
Wash the door exterior at least one time per year and more frequently in salt air climates or where doors are exposed to salt spray, including salt used to melt ice on driveways. Salt is corrosive and if not quickly washed off steel will cause rust and deterioration. Dilute one cup of common household detergent, like Tide®, in five gallons of warm water and wash door with a dense sponge or cloth. Rinse door thoroughly clean. Never blend cleansers or detergents with bleach. Do not pressure wash a garage door.
