Materials
Amarr By Design doors are built using four layer construction consisting of exterior grade plywood, kiln-fired fir or steel frame, wood baseply, and wood trim overlay.
Finish
Choose from paint or stain grade wood species. The doors are shipped natural, and priming is available for all doors.
Insulation and R-Value
Polystyrene insulation and a bottom weather-seal provide all season weather protection with a R-Value of 9.
Warranty
Section and Hardware Warranty – 1 Year.

Amarr’s SafeGuard System features patented center and end hinges, exclusive safety bottom brackets and uniquely-designed pinch protection sections to enhance overall safety for homeowners. These garage doors are designed to reduce the risk of serious hand and finger injuries.

Wood doors are specialty wood products and have natural wood variations. Wood doors require special finishing prior to installation. To finish, preserve and protect your beautiful wood door, all six (6) sides of each garage door section must be finished within two (2) days of receipt of door and prior to installation to validate the warranty
Prior to installation, all six (6) sides of each garage door section must be painted (or sealed) with one (1) coat of exterior grade primer (or stain) and two (2) coats of high quality exterior grade paint (or sealer, if stained), in accordance with the finish manufacturer’s instructions. Dark shades are not recommended for stain grade wood doors on southern or western exposures. Dark shades may require additional maintenance.
Wood doors require periodical inspection of door finish. Visually inspect the door once a year to determine if the finish is weathered, deteriorating or thin. Stripping and refinishing of door may be required.
Today, two manufacturing facilities in Lawrence, Kansas and Mocksville, North Carolina produce Amarr garage doors. The company also has a state-of-the-art research and development facility at its headquarters in Winston-Salem. Amarr garage doors are made in the USA of imported and domestic components.
