After a quick Google search, we found that most golf carts are roughly 48″ or 4 feet wide. Height and length vary based on the number of passengers (2, 4, or 6) and if your cart is lifted or not. Lifted golf carts from Club Car can top out at 82″ tall, requiring an 8′ tall door.
Contact your local HOA before planning to incorporate a golf cart garage door. Some communities may not allow a golf cart garage door to be visible from the curb. At the same time, others may require it to match the material and finish of your other garage doors.
Utility Vehicles Garage Door Sizes
If golf carts are for leisure, utility vehicles from Kawasaki and HuntVe are tools used on farms and ranches to get work done. Wider utility vehicles will need garage door widths of at least 6′. With widths ranging from 57″ for a HuntVe 4×4 to 64″ for a Kawasaki MulePro-FX, you can rule out 5′ wide garage doors.
