If you’re in the market for a new garage door, you may wonder if the Amarr Lincoln series is a good option. This comprehensive review will cover everything you need to know about this line of garage doors, including the different R-values, construction layers, insulation, styles, colors, and prices. We’ll also take a look at some of the pros and cons of choosing an Amarr Lincoln garage door.
Different types of Lincoln garage doors
The Lincoln garage door can be built in four different ways. Whether you’re looking for a single-layer, non-insulated door or a 2″ thick insulated option, the Lincoln series can accommodate many preferences. We describe each model in detail below.
Amarr Lincoln 1000
The 1 in 1000 signifies the number of construction layers. All LI1000 garage doors are made from a single sheet of 25ga steel and lack an R-value rating, signaling that the door provides little to no insulation value.
Whether you think the LI1000 is a good garage door depends on what you want from your door. Builders like the LI1000 because it’s affordable, has a 5-7 week lead time, and has a decent amount of design options. Homeowners looking for a door that insulates their garage or has beadboard panel designs will find the Lincoln 1000 does not fit the bill.
Amarr Lincoln 2000
Are you looking for an Amarr Lincoln garage door with insulation? The Double-layer LI2000 is the most affordable option and comes with polystyrene insulation. The insulation, backed by vinyl, delivers an R-value of 6.64. Like the LI1000, the Lincoln 2000 is built from 25 gauge steel.
Why do people buy the Lincoln 2000?
Simple. It is the least expensive steel garage door from Amarr that includes insulation.
Amarr Lincoln 3000
The LI3000 has a steel interior and exterior with polyurethane insulated between the panels. It delivers a best-in-series R-value of 9.05 and is built with 27ga steel rather than the stronger 25ga steel. Like the Lincoln 1000 & Lincoln 2000, the LI3000 has a door thickness of 2″.
Amarr Lincoln 3138
The LI3138 offers a steel-backed, insulated door on a thinner frame. The 138 refers to a 1 – 3/8″ thick garage door. Amarr chose to insulate the door with polystyrene rather than polyurethane. So, even though the door has three layers and insulation, its R-value is lacking at 6.48.
This is the least popular Amarr Lincoln model. The LI3138 doesn’t have 20′ wide sections like the other Lincoln models.

Amarr Lincoln’s design options
Most of the Lincoln garage doors have the same design options. Below, we’ll cover panels, colors, and upgrades. To view them all, visit our Lincoln garage door page.
Panel Designs
All the models have the same panel designs. Short, long, and stucco-embossed flush panel designs are available. What’s lacking is a beadboard garage door design.
Colors
Colors do impact the final price of each garage door. White is the base price, and all other colors will increase the cost. Most builders buy a white garage door and have it painted to match their trim, while most homeowners buy a pre-finished door.
